Watched all the episodes this last weekend and its pretty good. I liked 1883 for the most part but Yellowstone just didn’t grasp me.

Not sure how many more episodes they have planned for 1923 but it’s been good so far. Anyone watching this one?

Watched the 1st 4 Episodes of 1923 & like it Better than 1883.

Not crazy about the "Show a Few episodes & then take a Break" thing (with Both 1923 & Yellowstone)
I'm sure somebody saw that as a Great Marketing strategy!?

Yeah I wonder if they do that because they offer 7 day free trial of the app you watch it through. So now they force you into more monthly payments to keep watching it. They’re no dummies!! We have to wait until February for the next episode.

It sucks to only get four episodes before a break. This was not the streaming future we were promised…

This is why I am waiting for most, if not all of the Yellowstone current season episodes to drop. Then I will sign up and watch it over the first month and cancel the subscription after.

Probably won't get around to watching either 1883 or 1923.

You should watch 1883 and 1923 if you enjoy Yellowstone and like westerns…

    That good?
If you like Yellowstone, these are just as good, they are still mostly being personally written and overseen by Taylor Sheridan. He says that he is creating them like 10 hour movies with cinematography and actors to match. You also get backstory on Yellowstone. Like 1883, 1923 is planned to be a one and done series.

Taylor Sheridan is currently responsible for $1.5 billion in content for Paramount and has said he cannot go like this forever. From what he has indicated he will go full steam another couple of years then I suspect he will be a big picture guy with others writing and producing and quality will fall off.

That’s the best way to do it. And yes the 1883 is definitely worth the watch. 1923 is really good. Both play out hardcore ranchers that don’t take crap from anyone, what’s not to like about that.

He actually has two 8 episode seasons of 1923 planned.

I love all of the Taylor Sheridan stuff.

Fun fact; John Dutton's sister, who killed herself in 1883, is the same actress that plays the evil out of towner who seduces and manipulates Jamie Dutton in Yellowstone.
Now we are discussing “seasons” like “vaccines“, :lmfao:they ain’t what they used to be.

Eight freaking episodes is not a season to anyone that was alive for old school network TV. Back in the day a season was 30 episodes. But they were not what Sheridan is producing either.

The fun fact blew my mind…

Another great Taylor Sheridan show is Tulsa King, with Stallone as the lead. It’s currently only 9 episodes, but season two is already in the works. Very entertaining, funny and somewhat violent. Well worth watching, and I don’t say that about many new shows.
I think we will give Tulsa King a try while we are waiting for the rest of 1923 to be released.

We like Tulsa King. The only show I didn't care for by Taylor Sheridan is Mayor of Kingstown. Tried to watch it but every other word was the f-bomb. I'm no prude, but it was way overused. If BigRed had a tv show, that would be it. :):

Yes. Mayor of Kingstown also. (Glad to see a second season just started, after the news of Jeremy Renner's accident.)

I'm assuming most are watching the Taylor Sheridan programming on Paramount+, another good watch on the network but not one Taylor Sheridan is involved with is Joe Picket. It's based on the CJ Box novels about a Game Warden that frequently finds himself doing detective work.

I've been really impressed with the amount and quality of the content on P+ so far, especially the TS stuff. The app itself on the other hand, leaves a lot to be desired.
