As far as I know, a call center only has humans in it. Is there another kind? :stickpoke:

Maybe one staffed by intelligent otters? :):
Guess I could have phrased it better, but I didn’t. Let me try this.

I do my best not to talk to call centers. I never knowingly call one.

There are no intelligent otters. There are intelligent beavers.

    :p

Call Centers... best work I ever did as an Analyst was the manning for a regional call center. Average speed to answer less than 30 seconds, I'm the guy who identified economy of scale limitations in a call center environment.

In 2017 my boss and I were written out of the script. An empire builder with **** for brains got brought in to build an empire. It's been ****ed up ever since. They wanted to go 24/7 operations: I told them they weren't manned for it and it was a a waste of resources. I was right, but that didn't matter. I'm the only one who didn't **** it up and I'm the only one who didn't get promoted out of the deal.

No wonder they wrote us out of the script: we kept telling them what they didn't want to hear. Didn't matter that it was the truth.

Wow, there's still some anger there after 6 years. I am descended from a family out of Eastern Kentucky named McCoy. We do tend to hold a grudge ;)

    Earth/East Central I
Never worked in one so had to go with customer viewpoint. The last call center I had to deal with for a family I was advocating for was left with my plan to eat a nice steak that evening and my sincere hope that said hunk of beef wasn't part of one of their relatives.
