I am worried because my power has been out since 945. What if it doesn't come back? My 2oclock alarm to get up and reset all my clocks won't go off. Will I be the cause of a disturbance in the force.

I've already reset my clocks, except for the one on the deck (where I am) and the one in my car. I had to start drinking an hour earlier (after I changed the clocks), but at the regular time per my deck clock. :):

Ahh, this year I get my stolen hour back and the kid is at a sleepover and the wife is scrapbooking a state away. Sleeping in like a boss tomorrow!

Please regale us with all of the companies moving to the Eastern Timezone. Or will this be like polls? You won't be able to because all of the companies are already there.
Why do you ALWAYS change what I say in the reply.?
It makes economic sense to me for Indiana to be on the same time as NY markets in a premiere time zone that is recognized worldwide, vs. a secondary time zone like the central zone…
It is a factor for sure. I never said it was the only one. Indiana did attractor retain one more corporate headquarters than Texas.

    Glad I'm retired.

Real fun trying to work that 16 hour shift, but then it's really 17.
Or more fun, when it's your 8 hours off between double shifts, but now it's only 7 hours off.
I think the last time, I just curled up in my SUV and slept in the parking lot.

I just got promoted so I don't have to work shifts for a while.

Really looking forward to an extra hour of sleep tonight.

I remember a time, quite a few years back, when a lot of the big corporations would have their headquarters in New Jersey even though the real meat and potatoes of the company were anywhere else. They did this because of the favorable tax structure for large corporations in New Jersey at the time.

Lots of individual factors but when it comes down to it, if all else us equal it is a benefit to be on eastern time. Other than a couple of posters here I rarely hear about anyone wanting central time.

That's true. They call us flyover country. If they could they would probably dump stuff on us on their way over. :)

A recent study found that switching to daylight savings time (DST) permanently could save around 30,000 deer and 30 people per year.

I believe every bit of this. As soon as it turns dark, the dumb bastards start jumping back and forth over the roads.
