I ordered custom grips for my 1911. I bought them from Flashdance Designs. I had bought another pair in Padauk, but I didn't like it with the blued color. My wife thought a lighter color. So I am going to try Flashdance's maple or tiger maple with the Celtic pattern carved into them.

I should try the Padauk on the Sig 1911 to see if it looks good there. IMG_2329.JPEG

    In the country, hopefully.
    In with another CZ question!
    My LGS had a 75 P 01 and a P 01 Tactical (among others) that I looked at today.
I really liked them both. A lot.

I mentioned getting them milled for a red dot, and while the CZ specialist wasn’t there, the co-owner said that many think that there’s not enough meat in the slide to mill it down for a red dot, and you must use a dovetail adapter, or at least an adapter with a small amount of milling. I really don’t want to do that. I also really want direct mount, without adapter plates.

My question really is, do any of you run dots on a 75? (I’m assuming here that the 75’s are going to be similiar in this regard)
If so, are they milled down?

Is this an Allen question, or do you have someone else to recommend specifically for CZ’s?

Yes it can be done. AllenM has done them. You don't want the dovetail adapter if you want to be cool. If you choose a Trijicon RMR as your optic, you'll need a sealing plate underneath it. Whatever optic you have Allen do, send him the slide and the optic together.

Also, I'd consider getting the slide cerakoted something cool while he has it.

Back from MCF&G with the Wizard and B2V. Great range trip. I had a couple of very nice groupings, but the rest stank. Great time regardless.
I shot poorly but did put together one nice 100 yrd group on steel.

As I was on my way there via the fort to look/fondle a couple revolvers I noticed a crack shop in Avon which got me thinking….

Also, as you probably don’t know I have a birthday coming up and my LGS lowered the price of one I have been fondling bringing it down to gun fund amounts (also the wonderful Mrs B2V said just do it! — def married above my station!). And after looking a really big, heavy wheel guns decided to start out small(ish). Plus i really liked the extra grips it came with (Hogue rubber monogrip will be forthcoming as well).
