Joe says that we will not need refineries by 2030, we will be all electric don't ya know. Of course, that assumes that our electric grid does not catch fire, or otherwise collapse.
no, they are getting creativeThat reminds me... aren't we about due for another unexpected food processing plant fire?
But electric vehicles are so kewl...and I don't have to fill up...Joe says that we will not need refineries by 2030, we will be all electric don't ya know. Of course, that assumes that our electric grid does not catch fire, or otherwise collapse.
Skipping plant fires and going straight to international incidents that could lead to a war.no, they are getting creative

Be safe!Currently working on night shift to get this mess fixed.
The feds say that they are waiving some rule so that gas prices will come down.
Wait...you mean they've always had the ability to wave a pen to reduce gas prices???
Last week on I69 I passed a man putting gas in a Prius on the shoulder. But electric vehicles are so kewl...and I don't have to fill up...
You are a font of information. My gas mileage is always down about 3 MPG in the winter and I just assumed it was due richer mixture during warmup. Always magically jumps when the Summer blend is introduced.. Now I understand more about what is really happening.Sure. Just not without trade offs. You could run winter blend gas year round. It's cheaper to produce and if you don't switch between blends you run at a higher capacity (assuming no fires) as there's less downtime for the switches. The trade off is winter blend evaporates easier in higher temperatures and contains a bit less energy for the same amount, so more smog and slightly worse fuel economy.
You can send your thank you to FJB!And I get an email this morning saying that the price of gas at my favorite station is down $0.04.
It was the CEO of Chevron or something who came right out and said a new refinery will never be built in America again. EPA has made it impossible.Worked at the refinery for about 5 years. Yah, things go boom now and then, but they take their work seriously. What pisses me off is the refinery is over 100 years old. No other refineries exist in the region as they all went under decades ago. This refinery goes down and there is a major fuel disruption. And when will a few more refineries be built in America?
Just like there are no new Blast Furnaces or Coke Batteries. It was the CEO of Chevron or something who came right out and said a new refinery will never be built in America again. EPA has made it impossible.
We can't even build pipelines let alone refineries. Cap 'n squeeze.
I can’t wait to live in utopia! No ugly stinkin industrial facilities. Just beautiful unspoiled nature everywhere.Just like there are no new Blast Furnaces or Coke Batteries.
And no new aluminum smelters.Just like there are no new Blast Furnaces or Coke Batteries.
