I drink well water. If I'm ever forced to connect to city water, I'll probably consider moving rather than drink that chemical soup.
Honestly, our city water is awesome! I grew up on well water, the city water here is spectacular compared to any other city water I’ve tried, and probably better than well water… not that I haven’t had some really good well water on the farm, but ours is definitely comparable.

Maybe it depends on the water system you have in home? Most city water I've tasted tastes like I'm drinking out of a swimming pool

I don’t have any water system, you really don’t taste the chlorine in our water, I don’t know, maybe they get it right out of the Big Walnut Creek, run it through a filter and pump it out :dunno:

My city water here is good too. I have a softener which helps it even more. I grew up on well water up north with lots of iron and this is much better. My son is out of town and has a well - his water is not as good, he has to have all sorts of water treatment before it is good. I know he has a sediment trap, Iron remover, cation remover, softener and a filter.

Moms got a filter and a softener, but now that I haven’t drank her water constantly for years I can smell the sulfur in it :puke:

I have a softener because we do have some iron. I add Iron Out when I add the salt, and that makes a difference. No sulfur though. I would drink bottled water when I was camping, but I would refill them with water I'd brought from home. I couldn't tell a difference in the taste. But maybe I have no taste. :):
