I've got a feeling my gutters are going to be full of all these oak "feathers" that have been falling for the past 2 days. If the rain holds off until tomorrow afternoon I should probably blow them out.

I remembered to wear my straw hat the last two times out. i got a burn on my thin hair head...
I should probably wear a hat but I wore one for so long when I worked in restaurants that I really don't like them. When I'd go boating I would wear a bandana (do-rag) though.

Hello to all my INGO brethren! :wavey:

It just doesn't seem like we can catch a break.
I put all the time into replacing all the brake components on my truck, and we went to my MIL's to connect the PTO on her brush hog, because she doesn't have the strength to snap the collar on.
We finished with that and was heading home (with my pups in tow), and someone slammed on their brakes in front of me. I pushed on my brake pedal a little harder than I normally would, and all was fine, and then it wasn't. The pedal went to the floor. I came within a couple of feet of hitting the car that slammed on their brakes, but fortunately, we had an open lane beside us and I barely missed an accident. Have to see the silver lining I guess.
I figured on of the new hoses failed, but it was a piece of 3"-4" braided stainless that popped a pin hole. It was the line from the ABS to the rear. I didn't feel like laying on my back for several hours running the line. so I took it in. $452 later, I have brakes again.

    On a more positive note...
my MIL kept my FIL's '99 F150 since he passed. He took really good care of it, and there's no rust, only has 60,091 miles, and it's an extended cab Lariat.
MIL doesn't use it much; in fact she's replaced the battery twice because she drives it so infrequently. So, the Mrs. asked if she would consider selling it, so we could have a backup vehicle. After explaining our experience after leaving her house, she said we could have it.
It's not a new truck, but it's low mileage and looks as good as new. And with it's age, the plates/insurance will be much less than a newer truck. And it was FREE.
I used it this morning to get some mulch.

I apologize for the long winded post.

Howdy Elpherr. I'd say all things considered, you came out with a net win!
