This would be a good time to remind everybody that NFL overtime rules absolutely suck.
    FOR SURE!

Fans were cheated a chance to see a drive to match.

When the defenses are gassed, as was the case here, the coin toss is too often the deciding factor. Both D’s had run up and down the field twice in the last few minutes. Don’t think either one could stop the offenses…

Paraphrasing the graphic in under 3 minutes of regulation 25 points were scored, three lead changes, and nearly 300 yards. No wonder the D’s were gassed…

Saw the highlights this morning. Holy crap! I opened one eye with about 1:54 to go in regulation and I think it was Buffalo 29, KC 23. I thought to myself, well looks like the home team bad luck is continuing for the weekend and went back to sleep. Boy was I wrong!

Same here DD, fell asleep at half last night, can't believe the highlights.

Agree that the OT rules suck. I think that if the NFL wishes to keep them, they should at least do away with the coin toss. The home team already had home field advantage and failed to win in regulation. The visiting team should always get the ball first in OT.

Still pissed we did not get to see a better finish. There is chatter out there that the Bills made a tactical error by kicking a touchback with 13 seconds left in regulation, a return would have used some time up, leaving too much time gave Mahomes a chance. But what they are forgetting is if the Bills kicked shorter, Hill would have been the kick returner and he had already gashed the Bills for a 70 yard return.

What would you guys have done? Kick the touchback and give Mahomes 13 seconds to work with OR kick short and try to tackle Hill and leave Mahomes 8-9 seconds?

I saw an interesting proposal for OT. A kind of penalty shot set up. Both teams have their offenses and defenses on the field at opposite ends. Team A tries a two point conversion, 40 seconds later team B gets to try and match or win, and it would alternate ended until a winner…

Simple OT solution. Play a normal quarter of football. Except, shorten the playing time to 10 minutes and prior to the start of the OT quarter, there is a 5 minute intermission so both teams can catch their breath, hydrate game plan whatever they may need to do. Also both teams get 2 time outs and 1 challenge.

The NFL is fearful the viewers will stop watching in that scenario…
