Messed up 10mm rim.

Was sorting my oncefired 10mm brass I just got, and ran across this.

What would cause so much damage to it like that? I've never seen brass torn up like that before.

Someone Failed the quality check! Looks like It was tied to a bump and Dragged couple 100 miles.

I ordered 200 they sent me 212 cases total so I'm not complaining. The rest are good. I'm just happy to have finally got some more.

That's what I'm thinking. Then they finally decided to get rid of it after x many years.

I have seen a few cases look similar to that from outdoor ranges that use stone for a base, gets walked on and imbedded between the stone.

I would think the sides would have shown something if it had been walked on. The sides are in good condition. The rim not so good.

Maybe putting round in chamber then dropping slide. Extractor riding over the rim.

That's my guess. It was jammed in something and someone wasted little finesse is getting it back out

Notice that ring towards the top of the case? I wonder what caused that. It isn't split its just a indentation there.
