The low barrel canter line and low mass slide mounted on a seriously man sized chunk of metal make for a great shooter.
but the 1911 offers up so many avenues to modify and customize. And both the 97 and the 1911 are better than I am.

My Tanfoglio Witness 45 (CZ clone) is also a great shooter, soft recoil steel pistol. Would love to have the opportunity sometime to shoot one that has been massaged by the Wizard (but then would likely need to explain to the wife why I want/need such an expensive pistol).

The Wizard did one of those Tanfo 45's up also. I had the pleasure of shooting it and I was quite impressed. Another CZicko has it now.
