Been shopping there since it opened...Avon Walmart has become Haughville in terms of type of shoppers there.Avon PD FB had the 411 on the 911. Could’ve got real bad real fast.
In an unrelated story: I now shop at the Danville Wal Mart.
Undoubtedly AmishAs much as I hate to ask. . . . . . the usual suspects or new playahs?
I go about twice a year---people are ok--just too damn many of them---I grab what I need and go.I just saw tha Avon PD facebook report.
WOW!
The Avon Wal Mart just became off limits.
How is the Brownsburg Wal Mart?
As with the demise of Laff. Square by us the add a buss line and the **** goes south real fast.I lived in Avon for 17 years. When I first moved there the local joke was that the cornfields grew better houses than corn. That Walmart was fine (as wally worlds go) for about 2yrs. Then it became west Indy. One dark evening I stopped there because I needed motor oil and hamburger buns. I fella in the parking lot approached from between two cars, "Hey big guy, come help me with my car." Um, no. That area is getting a bus line soon as I'm told. I'm sure that will only help the situation. Between the traffic and influx of grit, I wish I had moved sooner.
I've heard from some of the LEO on here that my regular Walmart (U.S. 31, just south of Southport) is pretty bad, but I've not really seen it, other than the usual Walmart denizens (weird, but mostly harmless). I guess I go early enough in the day that the freaks haven't come out yet.Unfortunately it’s too convenient to stop at WM sometimes. Not to mention the lowest prices on Fairlife milk. And at the rate my kids guzzle that stuff, I’ll take any break I can get.
But I’ve shopped at two WMs as one is closer to school and one close to home. Both on Emerson, but that’s where the similarity ends. The Beech Grove store is dirty, trashy, and sketchy af. There was a shooting there recently. The Greenwood store is high society in comparison. Friendly, clean, no ‘tude that i’ve seen, and folks that have put in the extra effort to help when needed.
Regardless, I minimize the stops at either one. Evil corporation anyway.
At that Wally World there were shots fired in the sporting goods dept over a month ago and shot fired in the parking where they lit up a car several times last week.I've heard from some of the LEO on here that my regular Walmart (U.S. 31, just south of Southport) is pretty bad, but I've not really seen it, other than the usual Walmart denizens (weird, but mostly harmless). I think I heard about those. But I'm guessing that didn't happen at 9 or 10 in the morning, which is when I usually try and go.At that Wally World there were shots fired in the sporting goods dept over a month ago and shot fired in the parking where they lit up a car several times last week.
BG Walmart is still the king.I just saw tha Avon PD facebook report.

Stopped shopping at Walmart pretty much all together quite some time back. Just prefer to purchase elsewhere for the most part, whenever I can. Not really a philosophical thing, but rather just found better sources for the stuff I need.Avon PD FB had the 411 on the 911. Could’ve got real bad real fast.
