I just checked myself on MyCase....only 3. That "deferred prosecution" must work.

I think that's what they called what I did? 2 X's I remember paying double and they said it would drop off. Mine is clean of traffic violations.

Mine too. I have a couple for speeding and one for going through a yellow that were not on there. Ohhh, wait. One was from Illinois and two were from Michigan. Drive up to Boyne for four days, get two tickets. They impounded my license in Northern Michigan on Saturday and would not let me have it back until the office opened on Monday, and I was supposed to be back to work on Monday. So it not only cost me two tickets, it cost me two nights lodging and a day of work.

It was when I did a stint south of 30. One heading south of 30 on 421, letter said pay double and no more tickets for 180 days and it drops. Cool, paid. Next ticket, within 2 weeks of that, heading east on 8, got the same letter. Called on it, they said, oh yeah, pay it, that's a different county. Lol

It is only valid on your "first" ticket in a county. You don't have to enter the program. You could pay ticket and have it stay on your record (unsure when or if it falls off).

By first jedi means the program reset after you complete it. So you can use the program multiple times in your lifetime but only once at a time then wait 181 days before you can use again.

I actually got off light on that one. Griffith cop could've gotten me for a reckless but he only charged me the ticket because I had a CDL at the time and he didn't wanna ruin my job.

They also like to hide in Construction Zones after the work is done but Signs and Barrels still there - double fine -- then to top it off they add a 2nd meaningless charge to keep you from some of the Forgiveness programs

Failure to signal Intention to turn! How the heck would they know? I've gotten away with that one a few times.

Highland PD once pinched me for a red light violation on Ridge Rd at 2nd Street. I followed the officer through the same yellow light but she declared my light to be red. I paid a tidy sum of $190 to keep it off my record.

Extortion starts with the premise that "you" (general you) are innocent and someone is FORCING you to pay to continue with your way of life.

In all of these case "you" are not innocent. You got caught based on the stupid traffic laws. Had "you" avoided the jbt, the stupid traffic law, heck even driving "you" would not be what KLB is calling extortion.

KLB is using the word by definition ition wrong. That is what jedi is getting at.

jedi is not sure what the correct word is but it is not extortion
