Worked on the dope charts for 4 rifles today (CZ 457, Tippmann, Noveske, Windham 308). Got the centerfire rifles on paper out to 300 yards, but stopped at 200 on the rimfires, because it was too much fun holding for wind (15mph or so today) and I burned up too much time doing that (along with yakking too much with other shooters there).

Didn't really shoot for groups at 200 or 300 yards, mainly just wanted to get elevation figured out and see what I could do with the wind today. Had fun and it was nice to get outside my comfort zone. Next Monday will be heavy focus on the rimfires at 200 yards, but I already did better today with them than I thought I would.

Also burnt up quite a bit of time and ammo trying to get that ZQI 7.62x51 ammo dialed in and a good 100 yard zero on it. I got quite frustrated with it after awhile. The rifle just does not like the ammo. I'll need to decide what to do about that.

And of course some target pics. The 300 yard targets were not shot for groups and I was playing around with different holds and adjustments. The Windham 308 really likes the Geco 168gr Match.

Yeah, I thought about steel wool !
Steel wool helped but I think a good flat finish is what it needs.

    Morning all.

Dental appointment today to reattach a crown that came loose Friday night at midnight. Then a stop at RK to get clay pigeons and to see what they don't have in stock.

    GM good sir.

I stopped in yesterday for some odds bodkins before work. Not much. Wolf x39 for $10/box. WPA 12g (10ct) for $12.99. And a 1000ct crate of x39 tracers for $1299.99 The pistol case and rack had more firearms than I expected. About half full ea.
