In other news, I get to call Fedex again today, since they still haven't figured out where my package is at from Kansas last Monday.

And ADM got back with me, they are sending me new scope rings for the 308 mount.

As you see below, the ring is missing the chamfer/bevel on the one section.

After I removed the scope this morning, I also noticed there were two high spots inside that same ring that also left blemishes on my new scope.

Prayers up for Tristan's folks. Sad to hear they're having trouble .

On a better note, here I'm sitting on the porch in the sun watching Suzy, our old dog roll on the grass. I've swept the kitchen, swept out both cars, and whacked another muskrat at 70 yds from the prone position on the dam. Barb is off to Martinsville to get the second covid dose and I'm awaiting visitors from Wisconsin. It's been a full morning. 20210303_105258.jpg

Nothing in stock at Midway I need/want with my birthday discount. Would like a new belt but of course they're "limited production unavailable". I searched some old threads on here and Daltech (sp) was spoken highly of.

keep me posted - I could easily roll your way and check it out.

    Thx Reed

After mounting the UH-1 and taking it outside with fresh eyes, I'm going to keep this one. I even had two deer pose and let me go back and forth with and without the 3x magnifier.

You're more than welcome to come up and see what you think of it though. 88 and WT are thinking about heading to HHRP Saturday. Might be a time to go.

We've had their indestructible bio belt for many many years and they hold up great. Wife and I both have one, along with several of our friends as well.

Reached out to JoeBob about the issue with FedEx and they were able to tell me more about the issues. Looks like I just need to be patient on this one. I knew the weather caused problems, just didn't realize how bad it actually was.

Sorry about the delay in receiving your package! Unfortunately we have seen a big uptick in order delays over the last few weeks with the bad weather hitting most of the US. Millions had been without power and there was a fair amount of snow and ice which caused a lot of delays. We have thousands of packages that are still delayed in transit but shipping carriers should be getting caught back up sooner than later. Shipping carriers currently have millions of packages that are delayed in transit. Fedex's planes were grounded for 4 days due to weather in the Memphis area and USPS has lots of weather related delays around the country. We wouldn't be able to get you a better timeline on your package, unfortunately, but it is going to be delayed due to the significant backlog of packages. We aren't able to speed shipping up at all on any packages that are in transit. Fortunately, thousands of packages that were shipped out a few days before yours, which were showing a significant delay, are now showing movement and many are out for delivery.
I would expect for you to start to see movement on yours as well in the next few days as they are finally getting caught up.

Today is a definite ’cry once’ day for me in that quest. Between the optic, rings, a bipod and state theft, it was a $1500 morning
came out a lot better on my taxes than I originally estimated so the quest for something new would not be a burden.
But folks I just cant find anything that is ringing my door bell. NaDa. Nothing. Zip.
I have become an empty vessel for desiring something new.
