I completely agree. If my car runs out of gas, is Jackie Walorski supposed to give up driving just to make me feel better? I have as much interest in how politicians spend their free time as I pray they have in how I spend my days. My private life is none of their business and visa versa.

Perhaps you should pay a little more attention to the lifestyle that your politicians public servants afford. And yes, maybe a little sympathetic action relating to their constituency would be a nice thing to see? Hmm?

I really don't care that he took his family on vacation. Great time to do it. What is Cruz suppose to do about power being off? Write a federal law saying power should never go off ever then try to pass it in Congress? Same goes for any political figure how are they going to get the power back on it isn't their job.

However, they can make laws to improve the power grid which they have not done in over 50 years except in a few places such as Washington DC.

Our local sub station down the road from me about a mile is probably 50+ years old. Our problem is usually when powerlines get dropped to the ground by trees that should have been taken care of long before a branch or even the whole tree fell on it.

I am somewhat underwhelmed by your "logic". What, exactly, is a US Senator able to do about the weather? Or the Texas State electric grid?

Well, Donald Sr. never really identified as a republican b4 he ran for office. And I don't believe that most of us are monlithically one party or the other.. We each have a set of ideas and beliefs that we run our lives with.
Be kind to others until it's time to not be.
God is real and present so behave. He's watching.
Protect the land.
Defend the defenseless.
Don't spit in front of women nor children.

While I personally don't have any issues with him going to Cancun during the Texas Freeze-a-thon, I think it was a poor decision politically for him.

His star was rising, then he shot it out of the sky, or at least gave the shells to lamestream media, and they're having a blast...
