My wife was going north on 465 (west side) about an hour ago and said she had 25-30 sports cars pass her doing 100-120 mph. Anybody heard about this?

Meh. Having watched one too many youtube vids of idiots like these when they do chain react into a smoldering pile of twisted steel I only hope they don't take any civilians with them.

My semi has adaptive speed control. Which means I set the cruise and if someone slows down in front of me, so do I. The cool thing about it is it tells me the speed of the vehicle in front of me. I have seen 90+MPH on 465 so many times I lost count. -Jason

This summer I was driving back from Florida and eastern Kentucky and running about 80 when I got passed by a bunch of modified camaros, mustangs, chargers, etc. They passed my like I was standing still and weaving around all the other traffic. If I had to guess they were going well north of 120. They a chase truck that had their car club logo plastered across the back window. I fully expected to see one of the asshats in a ditch.

Gumball Rally would be an acceptable answer as well.
Haven't figured out how to multiquote yet on our new system.
I forgot about Cannonball and Gumball. Good choices as well.

Last trip back down around 465 on the west side I had two sports cars fly around me and the traffic. Seen it happen often but usually only two or three cars (doesn't make it any safer).

While not necessarily wise, vehicles of that caliber can reach those speeds easily and maneuver when needed. So long as the drivers are alert and road conditions good the speed alone is not an issue. If you've never driven something capable of 150+ you don't realize how easy and drama free it is to reach the century mark and beyond.

    This is true.

I got the opportunity to drive a rental car in Germany in 2017, and I got up to 201 kph (125 mph). I was going faster than many, but there were more than a few Mercedes and BMWs that flew past the stupid Citroën I was in.

But comparing those roads to I-465 is very unfair to the Germans.

Yep. First time the wife drove a V6 she was surprised how quiet it is in a brand new car doing 90 on fresh asphalt on the highway. I told her to get on it and she didnt back off soon enough. LOL

I see it all the time. ESPECIALLY the west side. I think its a club or something because its never just 1.

Rice burner and a camaro today as I was taking the not so mini monkey to get his scout shirt and patches today. One guy was coming up on me so fast as he was changing over across ALLLL the lanes he triggered my blindspot radar as I changed too. He was 200' behind me but it still warned me because he was closing on me so damn fast. AND I WAS DOING ALMOST 80!!! (along with everyone else)
