It started 12-15 years ago when a buddy convinced me that even cheap coffee beans tasted pretty good when ground fresh. From there to sourcing green beans, to roasting techniques, to grinds and blends and brewing, etc.
Icing on the cake is that the learning curve has resulted in a way to store coffee long term without it losing flavor. Coffee has the best flavor in the first week or two of being roasted. The flavor is at peak when ground right before brewing.
Started morning with Tim Hortons (picked up a can on business trip to MI).
Late morning refill using BRCC Instant. Work has banned coffee makers due to Covid.
BRCC Instant is pretty good.
