...in the vintage car parade before the Hoosier Hundred last Thursday. They told us not to get sideways in the corners but I cheated a little bit on that and got to do a full throttle blast down the backstretch.
This was a first for me and a dream come true just to know what it feels like to be on track and to have that much horsepower on tap. The car was race-ready and actually ran at Bloomington Speedway the following night. It was well tuned and absolutely hauls ass. It was hard to play by the rules and not get in a lot of trouble for being too enthusiastic.
Many thanks to John Tosti and his gang for making this dream come true. They even put my name on the car. I’m still grinning like the cat that ate the canary.
