I have looked at a 659 (title is wrong of a 693) here in the Classifieds/$350 with multiple mags, from the 80s, 2nd gen, nice and heavy like I like: I didn't buy.
I finally made it up to Westfield to look at the 6 out of many that Chris has left of SW 5903/$350 +tax (90s, 3rd gen, alloy, not as heavy): had one picked out if I was going to buy: I didn't.
It was hard to walk away, but I need to learn to do that this year: the new me.
It was recommended to me to get a 5906 since I love the heavier pistols.
The 5903 reminded me of my Ruger P95/$350 with multiple mags.
I thought that one of these SW could take the place of my Ruger P95, but I'm not sure I'd be gaining anything.
I have a CZ Shadow 2/$950 that the Wizard is going to do some mild upgrades for me (under $300): my ultimate gun.
I have a Bersa Thunder Pro XT/$400 (best buy ever for a competition gun out of the box) that is the reason I probably don't need my Ruger P95 anymore and will probably sell it when I get around to it.
I'm not sure how my Ruger Officers 1911 9mm/$600 fits into all this, I don't need it, but I just like it: smallish, accurate and attractive (but only an 8 round capacity which is a reason for replacing it with a SW gen 3, plus less money tied up).
But, it is like-new which has its appeal, even though double the money of the SW gen 2/3.
I have a CC 9mm: Sig 365/$535, so I'm covered there, but I like the idea of having a larger capacity 9mm for CC if I want like the SW 2nd/3rd generation (Bersa XT a little too large for a CC for me).
Really only need 1 range 9mm, and I have 4: going to be very hard to trim down to only 2, maybe have to keep three.
I wonder if a 2nd or 3rd gen Smith has any place with my limited needs for 9mm.
Just processing: I love to overthink everything. It's is entertainment for me.
