Having just done a Spartan Sprint I'll agree burpees suck but feel worse on day two than day 1.

I don't quite get what you were doing for "death by burpee" though. Jog a minute do a burpee, jog 2 minutes do two?

Hop, if it's like we do "death by", you do the one exercise, in this case burpees. So minute one you do 1 burpee, minute two, 2 burpees and so on. So once you start getting up to, say minute 10 in which you have to do 10 burpees in a minute, it gets tough. Really tough. And once you can't finish the reps in the allotted minute, you are "dead".

Ah, very much like walking push ups I did back in the old days of karate. Take one step, drop for 1 pushup, take two steps, drop for two, take 3 steps... I remember we did all the way up to ~20 then back down. It was miserable. :):

in the crossfit gym we do inchworm push ups. start in plank position, walk your feet as close to your hands as you can with straight knees and then walk your hands out to plank position and do a push up, repeat the length of the gym. Fatigues quickly. I hate them.

    Saturday:

    AM: martial arts

PM: Nothing. I celebrated the construction of my wall, watched "Road House" and ate sushi and drank a Thai PA from Bare Hands.

    Sunday:

AM: martial arts, did a bunch of ground fighting and turtle drills. Showed my age by pulling a glut getting back up after a drill (knee pad slipped on the painted concrete, it was like a knife in my backside/lower back). Cannot outrun the clock. Hung upside down on the inverse table until spine became limber again.

PM: we ran the hill at Happy Hollow Elementary for 45 minutes. Run up, do burpees, walk/jog back down. I could still feel my glut but I stretched extremely well.

Today I'll go to martial arts training. I hope more guys come. At my age martial arts are more for socialization than fighting.:D

Working on adding some green shakes to my diet to replace some other stuff.

    One example I made yesterday:

    1 x Cucumber
    3 x Kale Stalk
    3 x Celery
1 x Fruit (Apple, Pear, Banana, for example)

This turns out about 3 cups, little less. Are you supposed to consume it all in one meal, or is it something you would spread throughout the day, or a couple of days?

Sadly, I pooped out at 7 +1, then roll over and try not to pass out, puke or die.

Light bench press, more endurance type.

Work & dentist cleaning keeping out of crossfit today, back at it tomorrow.

I almost ordered one the other day from Rogues blem page but the one I wanted had just gone out of stock, of course.
I had that happen last week with some weights I wanted. Was going to order almost $400 worth, but by the time I got it in my cart all the 15 kilogram plates were out of stock. :crying:

This will sound pretty lame, but doing something is better than nothing. I have lost 45 pounds just on diet alone so far. Down to 232. 220 is my goal for now. Past 3 weeks I have been doing "couch workouts". Bi's, tri's, Schwarzeneggers, forearms, and chest presses. Just trying to do something.

And when the heck did weights go from 50 cents a pound to a dollar a pound???
