Going to Da Region This Weekend

My wife and I cant afford a real vacation, lol, so we are spending a couple days in Northern Indiana. We are staying in Merrilville, and will be probably hitting the Casinos in Hammond and/or Michigan City.

Any suggestions on great restaurants, particularly ones that have a good Breaded Pork Tenderloin?
Any other suggestions appreciated, thanks!

Tony's in Valpo has GREAT Pizza. I'm sure there are great restaurants in Merrillville...but I haven't eaten much there except Hooters and restaurants just off the interstate.

Yeah, and as tourist-y and trendy as it is, we have to eat at Portillo's at least once..
