A friend who belongs to another fraternity (Alpha Phi Alpha) posted this on FB. One of his brothers was featured (not by his own choice) in a Trump ad. He said Trump's people have not apologized for doing this. Although I don't believe Trump did this, he most certainly has knowledge about it.

OMG, I'd be pissed. I can't imagine the grief his line brothers probably gave him over that. LOL. Funny stuff. He'll NEVER live that down.

    Johnson?

Y'all mean the Johnson that threw a replica Washington flintlock in the trash (after being presented with it by his vanquished opponent, just last week), and who has a VP running mate with a record of pro-gun control?

    That Johnson?

Since I was there at the convention as a delegate, I can tell you that the whole flintlock thing is being blown way out of proportion. Petersen gave Johnson the replica in a grandiose gesture, which Johnson accepted. Then he endorsed an opponent of Johnson's desired running mate (who later graciously stepped out of the race and endorsed Weld anyway). After they were off stage, Petersen then started haranguing Johnson about his choice of Bill Weld, while Johnson was trying to prep for an interview. It was after that Johnson got angry and threw the replica away. A bit childish behavior losing his cool like that, but with Trump talking about penis size in a national debate and Hillary being Hillary, I'm not really too concerned here.

As to Bill Weld and his gun control record, it is true he did support restrictions back in the 90's. He has now repudiated those statements and sworn up and down that he full defends the 2nd Amendment fully (including signing the written pledge that was posted on another forum). Is that good enough? I don't know. If we don't let people change their minds about stances as they learn more and grow, and admit they make mistakes, we won't have anyone left to run in any party. Either way, the VP candidate isn't the one who sets policy.

Frankly, if you put Johnson and Weld up against Trump (who's behaving like a raving, racist, lunatic) and Hillary Clinton (and outright criminal), I'm voting for Johnson/Weld with zero hesitation.

Trump is making this more difficult every day. I would probably trust Sanders with the future of 2A rights more than either of the leading candidates. Maybe the choice will become cleared by November.

This title is bogus, but here is no doubt Trump leaves much to be desired from this interview.
Donald Trump Finally Admits His Campaign Is Racist

The main problem with this election is that one of these "Turds" will win........:dunno:

    None of the above.

All of the above at this point. I was seriously considering 3rd party this time - as I have railed against in the past - but the Libertarian candidates don't look any better than the other two.

I understand the third party vote. I understand why someone would do it. But at the same time, there is no point. Not right now. Maybe in the future, sure. But at this point, to even think that trump would be like hilary is buying into the left wing garbage. The same people saying trump is no different than hilary are the ones trying the hardest to smear him and call him a racist, dangerous, hitler, etc. Lets keep in mind who is anti trump....the media, the democrats, obama, the establishment republicans, illegal immigrants, criminals, militaristic muslim organizations, do i need to go on? One thing i find on the right and including libertarians is that they think that they need to vote for a candidate that is everything that they want. The left literally votes D and doesnt even know who is running and if they do, they dont care at all what they've done. Consider this....

Trump wants to build a wall and get our finances in order. Has he deviated on that in the past? no. Watch trump on oprah in the late 80's or 90's, it sounds exactly like his campaign right now. Do you honestly think trump is just lying about all of this? And if so why? We know why hilary, or paul ryan, or boehner or mcconnel lie, so they can keep their positions in the establishment gov't. Trump doesnt need that. So what is his motivation for secretly being a democrat and lying about all this? You think his wanting to build a wall and pause muslim immigration is helping grow his businesses??!??!?! He out there everyday saying how dishonest the media is. THAT IS AWESOME. He's saying everyday how crooked hilary is...AWESOME. He's saying everything that every republican and libertarian candidate should be saying everyday. He should get most people's vote for just doing that.

I've been on the Trump train for many years.

Finally being able to cast a vote for him will be a great conclusion.

I'd rather cast a vote for a man who talks about the size of his junk rather than someone who demands jews bake a cake for neo-nazis by federal law, or someone who is guilty of espionage against our nation.

Trump is the nominee I will vote for him.

I do hope that he surrounds himself with principled conservatives, and takes a conservative tack. Many of the things he has said about the economy, the 2A &c sound good. I just hope he isn't baiting and switching. For the time being I give him the benefit of the doubt.

Honest question why should any person of Latino origin vote for Trump, when even the American born, educated, and successful Latinos are labeled as Mexicans, and labeled as holding their opinions solely based on ethnic heritage rather than honest political beliefs (right or wrong)?

Trump all the way. Have no choice but to go with what they state as to how they lean on certain issues. Trump is pro 2a, he wants to stop ILLEGAL immigration and hold off resettling refugees here till they can be better vetted, he actually helps out our vets that have come home to next to zero support from our so called government, he also says he will move forward with removing gun free zones, which i welcome, and i could go on and on. I hate to do it but i have to take him for his word. The alternative of Killary will ruin this country beyond repair, if Obummer already hasn't!
Therefore just based on those simple things i vote Trump

That's weird, it sounds like Trump is telling you everything you want to hear in order to get elected.
Is he lying now or was he lying back when he was praising Hilary, pro gun control, pro choice, exploiting immigrant labor?
It's easy to find something you like in a candidate that's literally been on every side of every issue.

Honest question if you're Latinos and Latinas in this country legally, gainfully employed, and not planning on having other family members enter illegally - what part of Trump's positions would impact you in any way

Any of your friends, family, neighbors who are here illegally would be arrested and deported. That'd be an impact.

    I kid you not.

I will be writing in Oscar Mayer, the candidate of the Bacon Party.

I would gladly vote for any candidate who I believed wasn't bat **** crazy like the two we have in front of us now.
I don't care about who they've slept with, the gender of who they've slept with, who they pray to or don't pray to, or frankly, their position on the all important question of "what do you not understand about 'shall not be infringed'?".

Someone put a candidate in front of me who isn't bat **** crazy, and they get my vote. Otherwise... my candidate has a first name... it's O S C A R...
