Based on your propensity to over-do it a tad....

    Name the kayak something like:
    - Lusitania
    - Mini-yacht
    - USS Indygunworks (or your real name) or USS YourHomeTown (as if it was a military destroyer)
    - Or, as a fishing vessel, maybe a "jr" version of the Crab boats from the TV show (Northwestern Jr.)

I really like the meaning of "chasing Rainbows"....
    ...
You can try a thousand paths, and search for a thousand years, and still may never find that "rainbow".

So that's why I really like the meaning behind "chasing rainbows" because I seem to chase my own version of rainbow fairly often, and seldom find what I thought I wanted to find.
    ...
so those of you who have mastered the English language, help.

Ok, trying to stay true to your request.

Something more like "The Path I'm On" or with some proper aquatic reference - stream, river, tributary.

Or, with a hidden religious reference "Follow the Leader." :)

Numeric reference from your post: "1,001" (and not sure if this is helpful but 1001 in binary is 9 in decimal).

Oh, another thought - tell your fishing buddies that "Rainbows" refers to trout, but you had to pay by the letter so you cut it short. :)

    Some other random ideas/inspirations:
    Short Attention Span
    Next Project
    Better than Walking
    Chasing What's Next

Another aside, any variation of "chasing" in the name and you could nickname her "Chasey." Google the name, but not at work. ;)

You are going to need to discuss this or any untended name with your down stream neighbors first. Make sure they are cool with it.

Please, PLEASE, PLEASE pick chasing rainbows. Do so and put it on your boat before the 20th!

In case anybody was wondering why I have hesitation on "chasing rainbows", here is your proof.

I am still tempted to name it that though..... I would love to see the looks on peoples faces when I win the tourney out of the "rainbow boat"
