One of the articles stated there wasn't any damage to the locks on the trailer. So it has been recovered? The same article also stated there were no drag marks from the tires. I'm venturing a guess, to avoid potential noise a set of go jacks could've been used, lifting the trailer tires off of the ground.

I hope for the best on this.

A roll back and a competent operator could have a trailer like that snatched pretty quickly.

If I were a thief looking for quick cash I would think twice about fencing that load...think about who you'd have to deal with to sell it.

Now I'm sitting here thinking about the people who would be in the market for stolen machine guns.
I hear you...anybody's that's watched Sons of Anarchy knows you've got less than a 50/50 chance of coming out of these gun deals alive. :):

In all seriousness, here's hoping ProFire gets all their stuff back soon.

    WOW!!

I work at Midwest gun and range, we have a couple of dozen full auto firearms, (for rent) NONE of them leave the safe without being in the hands, or having an armed employee within arms reach of them AT ALL TIMES!!! and that is in the building!!!

If they leave the range, they go from safe to the location, back to safe, without exception they are ALWAYS monitored!!

I have to say this seems irresponsible.

This gunshop should expect (and rightly so) an uncomfortable and thorough investigation.

With what seems to be done by professionals, this trailer will never see the light of day again without being completely overhauled. If you do happen to see it, you probably wouldn't even know it was the same one, or only parts of it. Most likely, it's not even in IN anymore and the contents have already been removed and stored at a separate location. I'm no expert, but it's probably most likely to be recovered in a commission of a crime or when they try to sell the firearms.

Can you imagine if they didn't know what was in the trailer? They open it up and immediately :poop: their pants knowing they know have all kind of agencies after them.

Next time I'm in the area, I'll definitely stop by and show my support (as if I wouldn't anyway) for the Profire staff. Hindsight is 20/20, and I know they regret their decision of leaving the trailer loaded. I also know it must be a b!@#$ loading and unloading all that gear each time they do an event. I really hope they get their stuff back, though I know it's unlikely.

I wouldn't have let that thing out of my sight much less not parked it inside a garage or warehouse somewhere. SMH... I hope they're recovered quickly--they can't be easy to fence. The anti's are going to have a field day with this one.

Gotta admit, this is the VERY reason I don't have any gun related stickers on my car or gun related stuff in view in the car (such as holsters).

We would like to think that criminals are mindless nitwits that wear black stripes and racoon masks. This is not fact...

As reported by WISH TV - Trailer full of guns, ammo stolen from Indy business | WISH-TV

According to police, the trailer was filled with the following firearms and accessories:

    • 3 M16 type fully automatic rifles
    • 2 full auto AK47s
    • A Beretta Auto Sear machine gun
    • A Century Arms machine gun
    • 5 HK MP5 type sub-machine guns
    • A Century Arms Tantal machine gun
    • A full auto Thompson 1928A1 sub-machine gun
    • A full auto UZI sub-machine gun
    • An Ohio Ordinance 249 SAW belt fed full auto machine gun
    Pistols include:

    • 2 Ruger semi autos
    • A Beretta 92FS semi auto
    • 2 Sig Sauer semi autos
    • 2 Kimber semi auto handguns
    • An HK 45T semi auto pistol
There were two short barrelled rifles — one a Mosin 91/30 and the other a Vector Arms PTR-91P, two Remington 870 shotguns and one Savage Arms 720 shotgun.
Police say there were also 16 suppressors in the trailer along with approximately 20,000 rounds of mixed ammunition, a pallet jack, and $2,500 worth of miscellaneous magazines.

A man could have a good time in Vegas with all of that...

Or decimate a rival gang, flatten a neighborhood, tear up a police precinct or destroy an inordinate amount of life...

This is terrifying, jokes aside. Me thinks maybe Andrew (who I know and is a smarter dude) didn't do this, but maybe an employee trying to get a "heads start" on loading the trailer for the event?

Possibly someone with access to a gondola type dumpster removal truck and a pair of steel rods. Quick and wouldn't attract a whole lot of attention.

Your smug attitude is misplaced and unhelpful. No matter how diligent one is, something bad CAN and probably eventually will happen. Those of us who have dealt with Andrew know that there isn't a better person in the firearms business.

I can't be sure but I think maybe they found one of these guns laying in 86th street(?) today......fully loaded and apparently thrown from a vehicle. IMPD now has it...
