Ok, I've got plenty of cut-up t-shirts and cotton underwear (mine, since wife/girlfriend is probably not happening in this lifetime:gheyhi:).

Those patch things are some sort of fibrous papery stuff, at least the ones I have. They're not really cloth. They seem too skimpy to do any good anyway.

T-shirts, old pillowcases, bedsheets, boxer shorts. I cut up all that stuff. The fabric is usually pretty well worn and soft by then. I don't worry about damaging anything.

Funny you should ask this, some of the more economy, bulk type patches are obviously made from underwear factory scrap.

If you can get hold of some nasty mechanics clothes, they'll aready be full of oil and grease, then your weapon will already be lubed when your done:laugh::laugh::laugh:

It is, and I have found that a good cheap substitute is interfacing from the fabric store. It comes by the yard, in several thicknesses, and you can cut your patches the size you need.

Old Hanes t-shirts work the best but Fruit of the Loom will work in a pinch.

I try and avoid skanky old underwear...

    ...just sayin' ;-)
