Where I worked as a teenager...The original Jockamos in Irvington. I'd still eat that stuff everyday and it would never get old

    Mitchell
They've just recently opened a "Chicago Pizza" place in Mitchell. It's my favorite right now. Stephano's, on the strip in Knoxville, still is my all time favorite.

For those that remember the Ordinary pizza of the 80's & 90's it changed ownership around 98. Xtraordinary is the son of the owner from the 80's & 90's and one of his buddies that worked in the kitchen around then. The Ordinary use to be the best but that has all changed.

To me, good food is about the balance of flavor of the ingredients. What good is it to put multiple ingredients into a food if you can only taste 1? Seems to be a waste of a lot of ingredients to me. One of my favorite pizza's is a supreme from Monicals. Thin crust, and not a lot of anything on it. The balance of taste is perfect.

I like a lot of different pizza. I like Little Ceasars, Pizza King, Monicals and many others. Just depends on the budget and what flavor I'm after on that given day.

Is Bruno's that shack just east of the one way streets?

Yes, it's just east of the B&K Rootbeer/Hotdog stand on the east side. The owners are great people too. I don't know current prices, but the last time I was there it cost ~$8 for a large. Can't beat it.

Locally, I like Pizzology and Napolese. I tried Monical's and really wanted to like it (the owners were extremely nice and the server was great), but their sauce recipe was very off-putting to me.

In Evansville, used to be Turonis. They've gone downhill in the past couple of years. DeerHead's double decker used to be tops. Haven't had it in a while.

Pizza Hut.... Haha. Right now its the York Rite Pizza tent at the Hancock Co Fair. They only sell during fair week and it's really good. So they get my business when its fair week, but for other times is Jackamo in Irvington.

Greek Tony's .... 116th and Rangleline in Carmel. Excellent pizza and local establishment for 30 something years. Some of the best pizza I have ever had.

There is also a place in New Albany, IN called River City Winery. They have some excellent pizza there too. The Mediterranean is awesome.

I think I've had a pizza from there when I was a kid. Last time I drove by there, I couldn't see how they pass a health inspection. Probably why it tastes good.

You're being officially kicked out of the good pizza discussion. I'm not sure the box would taste any worse than the pizza itself.
