Lots of trees are heading to the house for me to plant. Stopped by lowes over lunch and got some gardening seeds and starter kits. I'm going to be making two gardens this year. One with store bought seeds from big box hardware stores. The second will be from planting one of my emergency seed kits. I'm going to see how well each works nearly side by side.

Picked up some food grade buckets at lowes. Finding the lids was a chore. Tried three times and they couldn't ever point me to any. Finally ordered online for store pickup.

Entered the market for an AR for my son. He's only 6months, so I've got a little time to wait for a reasonable deal. I guess what I think is reasonable isn't... At least not on gunbroker.

Bought 1000 rounds of 7.62x39 ($0.26 each), 1000 rounds of 45acp ($0.40 each), 6 Troy Battle Mags ($19), 5 MagPul PMags ($19) . . . all at reasonable prices . . . and then I sold a 9mm AR15 Carbine at new inflated panic prices (but to be fair, I offered it at pre-panic prices and it got bid up).

Start acquiring the parts and just build one when you get everything together. Really not that hard.

Just took the G17 out for it's maiden voyage. Had 220rd rounds loaded in mags and dumped them all as fast as I could pull the trigger, reload, and start again. I don't trust a gun with my life until I've done some mags dumps like this and have gotten the parts hot and dirty. It was flawless like I was expecting it to be.

And you expected anything less from a G17.............:D

We do the same with any EDC. Usually at least 100 rds. Believe it or not our Taurus 24/7 tactical passed repeated torture tests with out one issue. I got it in a trade and had near zero $ in it so why not. Damn thing is a tank. It also groups very well.
