Both are great knives. If you look around, you can sometimes find a Manix in M4 steel.
I owned the 350 and carried it daily. I was with another member one day and handled his ManixII and got one the same week. The Spyderco is slimmer, easier to carry, and I really like the ball bearing lock. Most important, I love how the 154CM stays sharp, even after hard use. I didn't appreciate the finish on the 350's blade and after using it a while, IMO the S30V didn't stay as sharp. Also, I'm not a fan of the assisted opening system on the 350. So, I would say, go with the Spyderco.
I almost scooped you, Brad. Maybe I'm learning.
Why didnt you like the assisted opening?
You know LM, the more I'm on INGO the more I believe I'm just strange. I have no reason that I can put my finger on, but I just prefer manual-opening knives. I have a Kershaw Leek that I've never carried because of that one issue.

Both are great knives and you won't go wrong with either one. It boils down to personal preference. The ZT0350 is an assisted opening knife with S30V steel. The Manix 2 is a manual opening knife with 154CM steel. The ZT 0350 is a larger knife (length and thickness) compared to the Manix 2 and might not be as pocket friendly if your wearing anything but jeans. Both knives are USA made and carry a life time warranty.
What are the difference between the zt0300 and the zt0350?
