No, you "notice" it just fine. I have a S&W Model 57 no dash and a Bisley for the serious loads. The .41 Mag is one of the finest revolver cartridges ever conceived. Since most .41 Mag revos were designed around a large frame and cylinder that was originally built for a .44 Mag you end up with a gun that is heavier, stronger and shoots flatter than a .44 Mag with just as much power and a little less recoil.
Factory ammo loadings have gotten slightly better than they were for a long time but you really have to handload to see what's possible. Check out the Cast Boolit Forum and read about companies offering heavy bullets for the .41 like 240, 265, even 295 grainers. Find a copy of Lyman's cast bullet book.
I have 3 41s but I don't have photos. I have a scoped 657 , a model 57 and a Marlin 1894 FG. I sold the Ruger Blackhawk to the father in law. The 41 mag is why I started handloading. I will try to add pictures later this week.
I hoped there would be more .41mags among ingo members :-(
