You might not agree with how Mitch does things... but you have to say one thing about him and that is he knows how to manage money. If he could do to the Federal Gov what he's done to Indiana's Government fiscally......
you mean sell off large tracts of land to foreign companies to balance the budget? eventually you run out of land.
there is a difference between privatizing jobs and sending them overseas.

So, basically, I'm much too righteous to EVER vote for myself.
Take a close look at Herman Cain. [sic] Strong core values, similar to most Hoosiers.
leasing the land for nearly a century is the same as selling it as far as I'm concerned. You do realize he did NOT sell the land?
He sold a "Lease" on the land.
How much will tolls on the Indiana Toll Road go up?my thoughts exactly. I don't necesarily like that the toll road in Northern IN has been outsourced (someone who lives there correct this next statement) but I have not noticed a difference between the Pre-mitch toll road and the post-mitch one. I've only driven it once or twice, and they still took my money and they still let me drive on it and it was in comparable condition to the rest of the highways in the state.
but it got the state out of debt. if Mitch can do that to the state, imagine the country.
HURRY please toll my wifeMelensdad it correct. . .
Fine but you would still be wrong.leasing the land for nearly a century is the same as selling it as far as I'm concerned.
So prices for a nearly un-used toll road double? Since almost nobody uses it, almost nobody will pay the higher prices. Still, what is wrong with people paying for what they use? In the colonial days there were many private roads and people paid tolls to cross fields, go from town to town, etc. Government didn't use tax dollars to support those roads. How much will tolls on the Indiana Toll Road go up?
the state was paying money back to the toll road to subsidize the current rate as per the lease.
Dont forget ,that he logged out our forest, before they get sold.
un-used? just because you don't use it, doesn't mean it's not used. given that the company that leased it plans to be making a profit (even after the initial cost) in less that 20 years, it's a relatively short term fix to a budget. If this company can make a profit on it, then the state could just as easily done the exact same thing. You don't plan for the future by selling off the present. So prices for a nearly un-used toll road double? Since almost nobody uses it, almost nobody will pay the higher prices. And why should MY tax dollars pay for drivers who use that roadway? Seems to me that is nothing more than simple redistribution of wealth!
Please provide some reliable and scientific sources that show how logging some selected areas of a small portion of our state forest land has any long term detrimental effects to the ecology. There is one group that is complaining about something to do with bats, but I can't find anything that indicates the logging would affect them in any long term capacity. Further, in California they tend to manage their forests by not logging them, which leads to forest fires and homes burning.
Further, what is with the bogus comment about "before they get sold" when there is nothing even being discussed to sell any of our forests.
then please point it out, where is your reference? It should be pointed out that the Spanish firm that bought the rights to lease the roadway stated it made a mistake, over paid, and never expects to break even on this roadway!!!
Still you still cling to this as an asset?
then please point it out, where is your reference?
