For the first time. I plan on keeping silent, I don't want to scare the sheeples, however I am thankful that I am now able to do so.

    Thank you State of Indiana!

I just wonder if car break ins and gun thefts will increase.
That is exactly what I was thinking. Especially those vehicles that have NRA or INGO stickers on them?!? Oops. I have an :ingo: sticker on my truck. I better make sure the alarm is always set. It may not stop a thief, but it sure will make a lot of noise.

I've carried a Kahr PM40 daily to work for over a year and no one has said a word or asked me what was in my pocket. Which I thought was interesting because of the numbers of idiots I deal with on a daily basis. Before that I carried the smaller Kel-Tec p3at. I carry the Kahr in a Stellar Rig pocket holster. I wouldn't care if anyone had a problem with it anyways since I'm on my own property! I know, I'm hardcore. ;)

I'm going to check with campus police to see if I can lock my gun in their safe while I'm at work. Maybe after doing this for a few months, the chief will sign my request for special consideration. :dunno:

I originally thought this too but I don't think there will be any significant rise in break ins and theft just because many people either carried a gun in their vehicle anyway or those that perform such nefarious acts probably aren't up to speed on gun laws anyway. :dunno: I guess time will tell.

I can't wait for some of the women to get all crazy when they realize this new law. Our "whistle-blower" as I call her, got all crazy when she saw my holster a while back. She tried to say it was a dresscode violation, I laughed and told her to go right ahead and tattle on me.

New law definitely a step in the right direction. I bypass a lot of the laws on carrying being a female that carries a purse. I have been carrying at work for years, just kept it to myself. I do however try to respect the laws as far as schools are concerned. If I have to go to my child's school I take my gun out of my purse, but there has been a few times when I forgot and walked right into school...its that easy, scary huh?

Oh, and I know carrying in a purse is not best way but its better than leaving it at home.

I'm onsite at a company that falls under some Homeland Security garbage so in spite of being in Indiana, still no firearms on the property.

    BOOO!

This is you keeping quiet about it?

I'd bet lunch SOMEONE else where you work will know you own a gun, carry it to work or have carried it to work in a week or less.

I carry every day, including at work. I'm lucky that I don't have to tuck in my shirt. Nobody here knows, nor will they as a result of this post, since I'm intentionally posting via my blackberry and completely bypassing their network entirely. Including all their web filters. This is MY Blackberry, NOT theirs!

Hooray for technology and having independent web access!

O.P.: How in the world are you going to resist "getting mad and going out to your car and getting your gun?"
