Lifetime to be done away with?!?!

I was at mejier today and was paying for my things when I was asked to see my ID. Jokingly I asked if my LTCH was good for it and laughed. She said no, but she had gotten her lifetime. Apparently a friend told her about how she needed to get it soon because the lifetime will be done away with soon...

So my question is this: Is the lifetime LTCH going to be done away with?

i got reamed on here for not getting my lifetime and going with the 4 year instead. i haven't heard anything like that and i have been keeping my ear to the ground hoping they don't do away with it. i believe its just rumors from the paranoid realm. nothing on the docket for the legislature to consider coming up so we could be safe for 2010.
