Besides the big names, anybody have contact information for someone who can either build a pole barn, or provide the materials (ie. kit) for one? Approx 32x28.

Menard's metal is a very thin gauge, and the paint/coatings scratch easily. Try to find somewhere that roll-forms their own metal and get it straight from the source. A poll barn is VERY easy to design and there are several software options to help, some that are free. Using these, you can get a material take-off and shop around for cheapest components. Most package deals are low quality pieces (windows/doors,etc), and are not customizable. Designing it yourself will allow you to choose sizes, locations, quality level. A good General Contractor with an in-house design man will be helpful too.

Menards has some pretty good packages on standard sizes, and used to have a computer station where you could design your own, then print out the material list. For someone to put it up, check with the owner of the new indoor range up in Westfield, from some of the pictures on their website, it looks like he had an Amish contractor put it up. From my experience, the Amish are very good carpenters and do good work for a reasonable price. You may find one that will also design your building.
