Description : I had it delivered to me back in Iowa on August 4, 2011 just 5 weeks before I was to move to Indiana. It has been my road bike only, never, ever
off road, getting +8000 miles on the rear and +12,000 miles on the front on OEM tires. Easy on gas since I did the ECU flash and it runs like a super sport in
"Sport mode" and on "Touring mode" is perfect for spirited 2-up carousing. 45 mpg ave. It has never failed me nor has it ever hiccuped once.
I simply love the thing as it has been the most dependable iron I've ridden : better than all the BMW's & Triumph's I've owned...numbering upwards of 20 total.
Terrific long distance hauler and yet a hoon bike with the re-flash. Take off the Jesse Bags and get out and hit the twisties. What A Scoot.
Never tipped over, never down, never wrecked or damage of any kind. No scratches or cosmetic or mechanical problems of any kind.
All maintenance is up to date, the valves, spark plugs, air filter were changed at 26,000 miles by Dreyer Yamaha Indianapolis.
Synthetic oil changes, oil filter changes, rear drive fluid changes every 5000 miles.
Never off-road. Only miles have been hardtop, mostly yearly romps to Colorado, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah & Montana.
Long miles/hours in the saddle would make for frequent 700-1100 mile days -- 9 day summer runs westbound totaling +6500 miles were frequent.
This bike needs nothing. I would take it to Utah and points west right now if the weather would hold. She is ready for riding immediately.
