Searched and arrested for holding a sign. Is this "obstructing justice"?

Woman says she pent 12 hours in jail after warning drivers of a speed trap
Natalie Plummer says she was just trying to save her fellow Houston residents from the hassle of a speeding ticket. After seeing a police officer "pulling random cars over" for speeding, Plummer recycled a grocery bag into an impromptu road sign, writing "SPEED TRAP!!" in black ink and holding it up for other drivers to see. Although Plummer says she stayed on the sidewalk, she was allegedly stopped and searched by officers, who said she was "obstructing justice." She was cited with a misdemeanor and spent the next 12 hours in jail. "He couldn't take me to jail for holding up this sign," Plummer said. "So all he could do was make up something fake about it."

Meh, it's Texas. They know better than everyone else and are a bastion of freedom in a desert of tyranny. Nothing to see here. She probably deserved it and a whole lot more.

This is why Glenn Beck moved to Texas.

We used to flash our high beams to warn oncoming drivers of a speed trap ahead. Now it would be interpreted as harassing other drivers...lol...

Law enforcers certainly have tried to make this illegal. Unfortunately, for the revenue generators and tax collectors, the courts have not agreed. Law enforcement certainly put up a fight, though.

Florida judge rules flashing lights for speed trap warning is covered under free speech

    Stay safe out there, citizens.

Automobile, the cash cow of the local and state governments.

    Change automobile to travel.

Traveling, as it stands in this country, is a privilege with lots of strings attached. Traveling has become the number one instance of interaction with a public servant or law enforcer. It is a gateway, not for freedom, but for government to get involved in your personal life.

One wonders how encouraging other citizens to follow the law can be considered obstruction of justice.
