    For those who ask: “Why does Ukraine matter? “
    Being of Ukrainian descent, I have had numerous friends and co workers ask me why is Russia invading Ukraine.
    If Russia controls all of Ukraine's resources, sanctions imposed by Biden will have no effect on Russia, they will have all they need.

    The following list came from a Ukrainian Genealogy blog posted by Scott Womack, Retired Special Agent, & NRA Certified Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor.

    This is why Ukraine matters.

    It is the second largest country by area in Europe by area and has a population of over 40 million - more than Poland.

    Ukraine ranks:

    1st in Europe in proven recoverable reserves of uranium ores;
    2nd place in Europe and 10th place in the world in terms of titanium ore reserves;
    2nd place in the world in terms of explored reserves of manganese ores (2.3 billion tons, or 12% of the world's reserves);
    2nd largest iron ore reserves in the world (30 billion tons);
    2nd place in Europe in terms of mercury ore reserves;
    3rd place in Europe (13th place in the world) in shale gas reserves (22 trillion cubic meters)
    4th in the world by the total value of natural resources;
    7th place in the world in coal reserves (33.9 billion tons)

    Ukraine is an important agricultural country:

    1st in Europe in terms of arable land area;
    3rd place in the world by the area of black soil (25% of world's volume);
    1st place in the world in exports of sunflower and sunflower oil;
    2nd place in the world in barley production and 4th place in barley exports;
    3rd largest producer and 4th largest exporter of corn in the world;
    4th largest producer of potatoes in the world;
    5th largest rye producer in the world;
    5th place in the world in bee production (75,000 tons);
    8th place in the world in wheat exports;
    9th place in the world in the production of chicken eggs;
    16th place in the world in cheese exports.

    Ukraine can meet the food needs of 600 million people.

    Ukraine is an important industrialized country:

    1st in Europe in ammonia production;

    Europe's 2nd’s and the world’s 4th largest natural gas pipeline system;
    3rd largest in Europe and 8th largest in the world in terms of installed capacity of nuclear power plants;
    3rd place in Europe and 11th in the world in terms of rail network length (21,700 km);
    3rd place in the world (after the U.S. and France) in production of locators and locating equipment;
    3rd largest iron exporter in the world
    4th largest exporter of turbines for nuclear power plants in the world;
    4th world's largest manufacturer of rocket launchers;
    4th place in the world in clay exports
    4th place in the world in titanium exports
    8th place in the world in exports of ores and concentrates;
    9th place in the world in exports of defense industry products;
    10th largest steel producer in the world (32.4 million tons).

    Ukraine matters. That is why its independence is important to the rest of the world.

    Does it still rank first in corruption?

    Paul Craig Roberts (PCR), former Assistant Treasury Secretary and international award-winning journalist, says the problems in Ukraine have been boiling for 8 years. Millions of Russian people were supposed to be protected in Eastern Ukraine under the so-called Minsk Agreement. It was supposed to stop the fighting, but the fighting never stopped. Now, Russia has recognized the breakaway regions and has a deal to protect the Russian people there. PCR explains, “Putin said we have to give them some kind of semi-autonomy. Let them have their own police in that area so they won’t be persecuted by the Ukrainian majority. Putin worked out this agreement, and Ukraine signed it. Germany and France guaranteed it, and the breakaway republics signed it, but we (U.S.) prevented Ukraine from complying with it. . . . The minute Russian troops moved in, the shelling stopped. It completely stopped, and it won’t start back.”

    The non-stop propaganda by the mainstream media (MSM) makes people think we are at the brink of war with Russia. The Obama/Biden Administration is clearly pushing for war in the region, but PCR says “no way” and goes on to explain, “How are we going to fight them? NATO in a battle with Russia would not last five minutes. I am just talking about conventional war. NATO cannot mobilize sufficient military force to confront Russia. They just don’t have it. The force isn’t there, and Russia does not want Ukraine. . . . Ukraine is bankrupt. It’s full of neo-Nazis, it’s trouble. . . . There is a propaganda war going on . . . but there is not going to be a shooting war over Ukraine. Something really stupid would have to happen to cause that.”

    What is stupid are the sanctions that are piling up on Russia that will only hurt the already financially troubled West. For example, according to PCR, “The German Chancellor says I am going to punish the Germans by turning off the pipeline because Russia recognized Donbass. It makes no sense. Why is he punishing Germans? Their energy prices go up. The banks who financed it fail. What if Putin says you don’t need that pipeline, we will turn off this other pipeline too. What happens in Europe? They are dependent on this energy. People will freeze to death in the winter. The factories will close down. The German Chancellor is an idiot. He’s punishing Germans, not Russians.”

    How do Neo-Nazi's elect a Jewish PM and President in the Ukraine?

    The Neo-Nazi label is Russian propaganda.
    Ukraine’s Jewish population ranges from 49,000 to 400,000 people. Some of Judaism’s most distinctive ideologies and traditions have their roots in the area. Their current president is Jewish, and they have had a Jewish prime minister too.

    In the same breath, the community is no stranger to both historical and current persecution. Antisemitism continues to spike across the spectrum, all over the world, including in both Russia and Ukraine.

    The far right is a problem in Ukraine, but the country is far from a Nazi state.

    I posted an alternate outlook versus your original post. Can't say I know all the history but I do follow what Dr. Roberts says, and a lot of it made sense to me. As others stated I don't think this is our fight.

    There's currently a big window for a false flag campaign to distract from the intentional errors and loss of freedoms the last two years. Why is there all this talk about Russia and Ukraine when it has been going on for years? Does it affect the US if we stay out and still have a strong military? Our government needs stop playing games at the expense of our Citizens. Not their role.

    Just like the sanctions on Russia don't matter. Putin just walks into a Chinese bank. Let's not forget about 100 years ago, Ukraine was actually a founding member of the USSR and only became an independent nation in '91. At the end of the day, not our fight.
    I agree that it is not our fight today, but eventually might be. I would also not classify Ukraine as a founding member of the USSR, they lost the civil war 1917-1921 to the red army, and were dragged into the Soviet Union.

    I am all for the Ukraine independence, I am all for their freedom. I am concerned about the corruption that is throughout the leadership of the country to the point if Russia didn't take it from the people the government would at any time it suits them.

    I don't know why they payed an American drug eating pervert for his 'expertise' and I do think a viable leadership would have had a recipe to cook all those natural assets they have into some form of security for the people they claim to serve.

    This didn't come as a surprise, it was advertised and yet the end result is the people will suffer. Do we all think this is the only border crisis going on in the world right now? What, there are currently some 30 going on in Africa alone? Why is this one, all of a sudden, the pivot point of democracy? For us the reason is MSM has been crying buckets and the leaders of the Democratic party have been waiving their arms trying to work up a lather over issues they have allowed to continue at our own southern border for a year.

    If the Ukrainians contracted to provide all that natural gas to the Germans so Putin wouldn't have got rich off of Nordstream and parlayed that windfall into a world class military and vowed to help the other democracies in the world, then we wouldn't be having this conversation. America does not need to pay off any of this short fall of their own doing.

    As far as I am concerned let brainless Biden sanction Russia with a 15% increase in Hunters artwork or whatever retarded reaction he has and get our forces to the southern border and kick the cartels back down to the other side of Mexico. Once we are done there we will take a breath and see what needs to be done...

    Is the famine that Stalin created in the Ukraine still remembered? Are the Russians blamed for it by the Ukrainians?

    Let the other UN nations deal with it. Why not call China to the carpet as another permanent member of the UN Security Council and ask why they're not doing anything about it? The UN has become a joke. Putin says he's there to liberate the independent regions of Ukraine as if they're in some sort of civil war. So I say let the USA just sit back and watch. It's time for the other members to actually do something about it.

    The U.S. military by itself outclasses the Russian military. A united NATO isn't a military power that Russian could dominate in a conventional war. That is why Putin has broadcast a veiled threat of nuclear war. He knows his conventional forces cannot prevail in a conventional war with NATO.

    IMO it is to turn attention away from confronting China economically and strategically. The conflict seems designed to reinstate Russia as the perceived #1 danger to America and the world and deflect attention from the real danger
    Ok I know China is trying to dominate globally against the US. And I mentioned the false flag of Russia. Is this a ploy and distraction to allow China and the globalists, including the US players, that support them to continue their damage to the US? Can you expand on your outlook as I feel this narrative will expand increasingly this year if possible.
