Where is a good place to get a qualified appraisal on a rifle I want to sell? I'm looking for more than, "It's a nice one" type opinion. I have inherited this from a grandparent and it is pretty old, as in WW1. Any help will be appreciated.

Wow! I would start by scanning the Internet. I don't know if we have any "experts" on "OLD" guns here on INGO or not.
What is it?
I'm sure there are professional appraisers around, and I would assume a "professional appraisal would have a fee attached.
Good question, I hand built a full stock flintlock with all german silver inlays and patch box, people at the BP shows say around $1500.
I think I need one in writing for insurance purposes
