If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Delta Airlines one year ago, you would have $49.00 today.

If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in AIG one year ago, you would have $33.00 today.

If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Lehman Brothers one year ago, you would have $0.00 today.

But, if you had purchased $1,000 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the aluminum cans for recycling refund, you would have received $214.00.

Based on the results above, the best current investment plan is to drink heavily & recycle. It is called the 401-Keg. A recent study found that the average American walks about 900 miles a year. Another study found that Americans drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year. That means that, on average, Americans get about 41 miles to The gallon!

Makes you proud to be an American, doesn't it

You just had to be the nerd with a calculator, didn\'t you???
I figured since it is on my business card... Price per pound is about $1.17 as of Sept. 34.21 cans per pound. Go really cheap on the beer: $4 for a 12 pack. $1000 / $4 * 12 cans = 3000 cans. 3000 cans / 34.21 can * pound = 87.69 pounds. 87.69 pounds / pound * $1.17 = $102.60 Or take $410.40 / (price of 12 pack). $50 for average beer. $25 for good beer. That seems more fitting for the title of nerd with calculator. I would like to thank Google and Excel.
