I went the lazy route and just bought a gemtech talon upper. Designed to be suppressed so it was pretty damn easy, and with a barrel length of 7.5 its pretty damn small. As to the subsonics a friend of mine makes some for me in exchange for some time shooting the gun
I have heard good things about the Winchester Ranger-T 147 for subsonic loads though.
I have a 10.5" Douglas bbl on my RRA 9mm AR 15 SBR. I will check with the person I bought it from for twist. I have Fiocchi 158 gr that I bought
at the Indy gun show several years ago. Just got a case of Win 147 FMJ
that I have not tried yet. And I load my own 9mm rnds. 124/147 gr Berrys
bullets with 3 grns of Tite Group. Work great . Found out my twist is 1-15
Mine is a 1/10. I bought it as a 16" from JT at the 1500 and cut it down to 5" and threaded it on my lathe. It works well with the berrys 147 bullets and a SWR trident.
