What happened to surplus tracer ammunition?

Did something happen to surplus 5.56 tracer ammunition? From time to time for a special occasion or a good visual demonstration I grab some tracer ammo for my home range. Today I was looking for some more online and it seems like it's all dried up or $3-$4 per round.

Did I miss some type of political ban on tracer ammo or is this just another victim of pandemic supply chain issues?
