I am trying to load Roxio Easy CD creator 7 on a WinXP Pro system. I keep getting this error and it is not recognizing the icons from the cd when I browse 'run' to get it to load.

It zipped right along on my laptop here, it's a Vista.

The older PC has all the updates that I know of from Microsoft.

    Any thoughts?

That error probably means one of two things. First would be file corruption. Have you tried the disk in the Vista computer since you got the error in XP, to make sure it isn't scratched or smudged?

The other possibility I can think of is that there is some other software interfering. Are you running any CD emulator software like Alcohol 120 or Daemon Tools, or perhaps have other burner software already installed on the XP machine? If so, you might try removing that and seeing if Roxio will install.
