    I use the 7 gallon Aquatainers from WalMart. I'll stash some 2 liter bottles around as well. The 2 liters can be emptied and recycled after a couple years. I use the Aquatainers camping so they get rotated as well.
    I think it's better to have ways to purify water in case of a longer term disaster.

    I saw a guy on craigslist out of the Spencer area, not Monroe County, but close. Tractor supply has water barrels sometimes that are old olive barrels. I used to get food grade barrels from Dillman farm out on 45 as well. You also might check Sahara Mart in Bloomington, they get large quantities of olives.

    Not sure how often you go to indy ( I know its not Monroe county, close but everyone goes to Indy every now and then) Check out indy drum something like 35+ for a new food grade 55 gallon barrel.
