I want my rights, all of them, because f*** you.
I want to carry a handgun for the same reason you do, and I don't have a radio to call in a whole department to back me up.
That's reason enough.
Prior to some time in the 1990's, Indiana required a written explanation as to why you needed a permit to carry a handgun. That's right.....a "Permit." There were actually 2 types of permits. One was strictly for "Target" and it provided you with a legal way to transport your firearm to and from the range. The other type was called the "Unlimited", and let you carry a concealed handgun or any other firearm that you legally owned, on your person or in your vehicle. I can't remember if "Open Carry" was legal or not. I always carry concealed.

Chief William Taylor, we accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole saturday in detention for whatever it is we did wrong, but we think you're crazy for making us write an essay telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us, in the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. But what we found out, is that each one of us is a brain, and an athlete, and a basketcase, a princess, and a criminal. Does that answer your question? Sincerely yours, The Breakfast Club.
Essay is simple, just copy the second amendment and the pre-amble to the Constitution.
And in other news, another idiot opens his mouth and proves it.

Dear Chief Taylor,
I need a permit to carry a handgun because I don't trust my local law enforcement to help me when I need them. They are ideologically driven tools.
k thnx bai,
F*** you
