    1983 Smith and Wesson Nickel plated 586 .357 mag. with a 4" barrel. This gun is brand new in it's original box with cleaning kit and paperwork. I will post pics tomorrow. It truely is a beautiful gun!!!

    Does the model number include the inscription 'M' after 686? Reason I ask is the original 586 had a cylinder binding issue and was subject to a recall in the 80's.

    RECALL-replacement of the hammer nose, firing pin bushing, and associated parts; -M’s were fixed

    Actually the "M" letter is NOT stamped AFTER the model # but is stamped somewhere on the yoke. If it has not been done recalls never expire. S&W will pay shipping both ways to preform it.
