I have what I believe to be an 1895 Springfield Krag saddle-ring carbine. My dad got this rifle awhile ago from a customer of his. I do not know much about it but from what I can gather from the internet is that it is a low 5 digit serial number gun. Which could indicate it was one of the early carbines made in 1895 before regular production of the carbine started in 1896.
Gun is in overall solid shape for a rifle of this vintage. We have cleaned it up the best we could leaving the age and patina to the wood and steel parts. Unknown if the rifle shoots safely, but bolt functions and locks up tight along with the side loading gate.
Prices on these are all over the place so I'm going to start it at $1000 and go from there.

No pictures at the moment, but working on taking some.
