I can't imagine why anyone would want a titanium extractor?

The only benefit (that comes to mind) of titanium alloys is a reduction in weight, but you're going to sacrifice wear resistance (which is an issue for an extractor).

You should also look at how metals react to each other, for example, steel and aluminum do not mix, they just corrode. I was talking to some KBR armorers on my last tour in Iraq, and found out that Titanium firing pins were getting brittle and breaking in M4's that the group guys had put in there weapon systems, due to metal incompatibility. Thats when I decided to just buy a couple of extra bolts.
