ALL (109) of the countries above America, HAVE 100% gun bans.

It might be of interest to note that SWITZERLAND is not shown on this list, because it has... NO MURDER OCCURRENCE!

However, SWITZERLAND 'S lawrequires that EVERYONE:
    1. Own a gun.
    2. Maintain Marksman qualifications ... regularly .

Did you learn anything from this??

I think the message is - loud and clear...

    Incorrect.

The author is saying that there are no murders in Switzerland? If so that would be incorrect.

Where are these "stats" coming from?

(They frickin' keep stats in Laos, Uganda, CAR, etc.)?

    Interesting, but are they true?

    How could they be?

How does one determine a murder rate for the CAR? Estimated? Number of meters of white cotton or linen cloth sold? In all that chaos I cannot imagine anything being accurate in a number of those nations.

This is gun control we are talking about, don't let facts get in the way.

On the other hand these facts may be open to interpretation but I think it is fairly well established that more guns = less crime

The assumption here is that the left even cares about statistics or common sense in the FIRST place. If it doesn't fit their agenda or secure their own power, stats or factors don't matter no matter who is touting them or how loud.

#1- need a source for the info.
#2- the picture is very incomplete because there are plenty of countries not listed. Where are Germany, France, China, etc?

I would also want to know when the statistics were supposedly measured. It's great info, if it's true and verifiable. I don't expect that it is either, though the general point is still accurate. More guns in good people's hands equals fewer violent crimes.

Those statistics are about as true as the number of school shootings Everytown (or whatever they call themselves) quotes. I say let it float around on the interwebs. If enough people read it then lies become facts.

You also must realize that with a couple of exceptions all those nations listed are third world countries.

    Between corn and soybean fields.
When I went to the Bahamas last year and got to my hotel, I grabbed a paper at the front desk and the headline was something in regards to two police officers who had been murdered there.

In fact, when looking up my source to make sure I wasn't exagerating I found this: thebahamasweekly.com - Suspects arraigned for murder of Nassau police Sgt. Wayne Rolle and Reuben Baker ... That's a different instance of two different police officers being murdered...

I can't find the article online but I was told not to hang around town after dark and to stay on hotel property. Only place I've been where the McDonalds has armed guards, unsure if it had anything to do with it's proximity to the US embassy (100 feet away) or what.

    It's bad there.

Also, even IF the "stats" we're true... it says citizens murdered.
if we are interested in places "not to go" shouldn't we be looking at "visitors (or tourists) murdered"?

Actually if any of that is to be believed, the U.S. Virgin Islands was the shocker for me... well and of course Greenland. (?!)

    I doubt the veracity.
