Every time I travel to a new area for work I look up gun shops. I have been to Marion several times I know of Mcdonald's guns and some the others but today I decided to do a new search and found the Trading Post. I have never seen it before. Does anyone know anything about this shop?

I know it's been awhile since you posted this, but I thought I would chime in. Brian is the shop owner. He was a Kimber dealer exclusively for several years. Very knowledgeable and not pushy at all. He will happily let you fondle however many guns you want. His prices are pretty reasonable and he gets some nice used guns in from time to time. His selection isn't huge but he seems to have quality pieces for the most part (with the exception of the Jimanez Arms section that pretty much any pawn shop has).

I have bought a couple guns off him. The first gun I got there was actually a Taurus PT-25 for my wife (first gun). She picked it out and had to have it. LSS - the thing broke within 15 rounds. We took it back and he gave us full store credit for the purchase and the tax and we put that toward a Bersa Thunder 380.

If you go in on Saturday, there is a LEO that works part time there. He is an almost 20 year army vet and I have had the good experience of talking guns with him. Also a very knowledgeable person.

All in all a very nice local business. He won't give you the stars and moon for a used gun (as most shop owners won't) but you can usually haggle around with him a bit on his selling prices.
