Did the one lady in the article actually try to imply that earthquakes were caused by the weather which I am guessing she thinks is global warming? I vote for Al Gore to be cast as Captain Planet.

Dude, Anna Chapmann for the Russian gal, Bai Ling as the Asian gal. Now THAT would be entertainment...

I grew up on Captain Planet, thank God for Twin Peaks to balance it out for some reality. Even at a young age, one took it's message with a huge grain of salt. They did have some points, let's be honest. The Planeteer Alert things were HEAVILY dosed with garbage sometimes, such as writing politicians and such. Recycling projects were awesome, but the rest was a bit on the "mind washing" side. :(

I kind of used to like Captain Planet when I was a kid.
The propaganda was lost on me. Maybe I just like partially clad blue guys with amazing physiques. Because I enjoyed Watchmen a great deal too.

I have to admit, I watched Captain Planet as a kid. I too was also oblivious to the indoctrination. I just watched the show because it was just another super hero to me.

I cannot stand more firmly against this cartoon being adapted into a movie.

Not because of any political issues or indoctrination - but because Captain Planet makes Aquaman look like an awesome superhero.
