Having never phototgraphed an eclipse before, I had no idea for camera settting .....so I shot in Manual, and flew by the seat of my pants !
Overall,I'm happy, although like anything, if I did it tomorrow it would be better.

Biggest regret is going with my 200mm lens, intead of the 400mm. But, the camera has many, many pixels, and crops fairly well.

(First three are when totallity was achieved ..... all different photos)

Those look great, MM. I knew you'd deliver.

We took a break and went out and watched it. Pretty neat.
    It was neat !
We took out a snack tray, and sat on the deck.
If any of you'se hoodlums tell my wife that I posted this photo, I'll have to pull a MR. T on you ! (Mr.T: I'm going to kill you dead) ;)

Headed out to Proteq for a bit this morning and got back and grabbed some lunch. Messed with some stuff around here (optic screw was wanting to back out a little on my Echelon so cleaned the screw and added some more loctite, etc. Put a strike industries angled mlok qd socket on my freedom ordnance pdw. Got it for my scorpion but thinking I'll go a different route there) then watched the Eclipse on the back deck. Drop in temps was pretty noticeable during the Eclipse.

In reading proteq's website I need to try and checkout the steel valley range, next time I'm out there. I've tended to stay on the cowboy steel range.

"Steel Valley Range (SVR) now has 7 of the 8 Steel Challenge Shooting Association (SCSA) target arrays permanently installed.
You now have a dedicated SCSA practice range open 365 days a year where you can hone your skills between match competitions.
Next year all 7 stages will have a permanent cover over each firing line. Practice is now possible 7 days a week for those authorized to use this valley.
Starting 1/1/24 membership to this valley will be $70 per year."

Not sure if that was around last year when I got my membership.
